You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

Let us take it for granted that NO ONE wants criminals entering the U.S. illegally (they cannot enter legally anyway).

But let us also look at the fact that statistically, the numbers of violent criminals among illegal immigrants to the U.S. are no more than "home grown" violent criminals. It still takes enforced laws to stop and incarcerate both.

Here is an idea (it is probably unconstitutional, but why can't rational Americans ratify an amendment to change that?):

Violent criminals and drug dealers found among illegal (and, for that matter, legal) immigrants can, and should be deported.

Why not deport violent American criminals and drug dealers, too?

For all it costs U.S. taxpayers to (supposedly) secure our borders, it costs more to incarcerate, feed, give medical care to, pay the cable bills for, and otherwise entertain our own violent criminals and drug dealers.

Why not take the illegal criminals AND our own and jam them all on old, leaky ships and send them out to sea with say....two weeks provisions.

We cannot deport them to other countries because no other country will take them, so let them fend for themselves as best they can. Maybe when they start running out of food, they will kill each other for the remainder or maybe cannibalize each other. Who cares?

Also part of the deal would be that---under no circumstances----can they try to return to American ports or they will be fired upon and sunk.

How is that for an idea?

Perhaps a deterrent to some American pre-criminals to not turn to a life of crime? Perhaps a deterrent to potential criminal illegals trying to get into the U.S.?

Actually the numbers seem to indicate that crimes committed by immigrants are actually less than those of US citizens. I think in part because they are grateful for the opportunity to come here, and that the things they face in America are nowhere near compared to what they've had to face wherever they're from.

Less or not less----when caught----violent criminals or drug dealers----illegal immigrant or U.S. citizen (citizenship should be revoked) and they should be sent off where they can only prey on one another----without costing tax payers money to support them for years.

That is one of the stupidest comments I have ever heard. What do you think happens with incarcerated Americans? They are starved to death and left exposed out in the elements?

You are a moron if you think so. American criminals get housing (their prison cell, libraries, work rooms, cafeterias, gyms, cable tv), food (breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks, deserts AND apples and oranges).

They get to work out, play sports, have access to communications, get conjugal visits, etc.

Where the hell have you been living, you dope?

An interesting idea, deporting our violent citizens.

Venezuela and Cuba do it. Hmm mm.

Perhaps we could offer the vermin money to move??

Nope. No other country would want them.

Which raises the question: since when did we start accepting other countries vermin??

Oh. Yes, when brandon moved into the oval office.

The "Founders" were not removed from England because they were criminals. That is simply (and ignorantly) wrong and shows no knowledge of history.
In the course of American colonization, it can be granted that several hundred criminals were deported from England to the colonies. They made up about 1 percent of the total immigration into what became the United States (and practically ALL of the imported criminals were long dead by 1775).

Illegal immigrants who commit crimes in the United States should be punished in the United States. Then they should be deported along with anyone else who is identified as an illegal immigrant. Before deportation illegal immigrants should be tattooed on a visible part of their bodies as an illegal immigrant That will keep them from coming back.

I would like to end all H1B Visas and H2B Visas. I would like to restrict legal immigration with two exceptions. Orientals tend to be more intelligent than whites. They have lower rates of crime and illegitimacy. I want open borders for them. Jews are so valuable I think they should be paid to move here. I am neither an Oriental, nor am I Jewish

    ver·min
    [ˈvərmən]

    1. wild animals that are believed to be harmful to crops, farm animals, or game, or that carry disease, e.g., rodents.
      • parasitic worms or insects:
"his clothes are infested with vermin"
      • people perceived as despicable and as causing problems for the rest of society:
"the vermin who ransacked her house"
Goodness. Shooter managed to trigger a forum member simply by using a term to reference the undesirable members of societies, both American and foreign. Perhaps Shooter should have used "person of interest" or "ethically challenged"?
Nope. Vermin they are, and vermin they shall continue to be called.

And when we proved to England that those "criminals" had value and something to contribute they shipped the rest to Australia. Where, we note, they built yet another fine society.
The issue, you see, is not just that a country dumps it's undesirables on us, it's that we so happily embrace them in favor of our own citizenry.

So shooter thought the sarcasm he was broadcasting with his post was clear enough.

The Nazi effort to exterminate the most superior race on earth does not mean that there are no inferior races.

By "inferior races" I mean races with lower average IQ's than whites and Orientals, and higher rates of crime and illegitimacy.

I am not in favor of exterminating those inferior races. Some people in those races have genes that are worth preserving in the human gene poll.

Umpire I think your ideas aresimilar to the fascist ones, only they fascist killed those who were not considered as Aryan in their understanding. Today you want to get rid of crime this way, other day you want to get rid of poor ones, then the sick. And where it will end up. Don t you think that American was founded by criminal of all stripes who fled from prosecution of the authorities in their home countries. I guess this is your carma, and you should find a way to clear it. Not cast off. Why not to spend a coupla trillion dollar in decade and try to help out those who commit crime because of need, or they have no aducation and xa not find a job, roof, n food. Europeans have long ago understood that hungry person is dangerous. And it is much cheaper to provide him with food and shelter, than let him on his own and endanger population. Greedy establishment is the causer of all crime.

We see where New York has spent an incredible $6.1 BILLION dealing with ILLEGAL MIGRANTS dropped on their door step.
Guess all that dirty laundry the migrants brought with them is really expensive to clean, eh?
We have to ask; will that possibly change voters minds when it comes time for them to vote?

New York City spends $6.1 billion on the migrant crisis | Watch

Nah. Pretty consistently harris holds an 18% advantage over Trump.

Guess they like the cost of all those ILLEGAL MIGRANTS and the IMMIGRANT gang crime, eh?
Staggering 75 percent of all NY arrests in Midtown are migrants, police sources estimate

    Hmm.

I'm going to take this at face value, because - why not.

    A) Even the death penalty does NOT stop people committing crime. So, your very imaginative concept here is not actually going to stop crime... it just gives you something to do with the people who commit crime.

    B) Would your idea stand up if it was your son/daughter/etc who committed a crime? Let them fend for themselves on a boat full of criminals?

    C) American society is so skewed toward the rich, it is your very society that is causing people to turn to crime. How is it then fair to punish these people?

    4) Clearly empathy escapes you, but for the rest of us, the fact that at least 5% of "criminals" are in fact innocent means you are putting 1/20 on the death-boats who don't deserve to be there.

IV) This solution merely makes your problem someone else's problem. That's not a responsible way to conduct yourself.

@Distant Lover I saw you were interested in these statistics. If I'm not mistaken it's tallyed from multiple studies as far back as the 60s.

It does indicate that immigrants are up to 60% less likely to commit crimes than US born citizens.

Here is a link to the article, I also included the summary of what the multiple studies showed some as far back as the '60s some more recent.

    https://www.npr.org/2024/03/08/1237...it-crimes-than-us-born-americans-studies-find

However, research indicates that immigrants commit less crimes than U.S.-born people.

Much of the available data focuses on incarceration rates because that's where immigration status is recorded.

Some of the most extensive research comes from Stanford University. Economist Ran Abramitzky found that since the 1960s, immigrants are 60% less likely to be incarcerated than U.S.-born people.

There is also state level research, that shows similar results: researchers at the CATO Institute, a libertarian think tank, looked into Texas in 2019. They found that undocumented immigrants were 37.1% less likely to be convicted of a crime.

Beyond incarceration rates, research also shows that there is no correlation between undocumented people and a rise in crime. Recent investigations by The New York Times and The Marshall Project found that between 2007 and 2016, there was no link between undocumented immigrants and a rise in violent or property crime in those communities.

The reason for this gap in criminal behavior might have to do with stability and achievement. The Stanford study concludes that first-generation male immigrants traditionally do better than U.S-.born men who didn't finish high school, which is the group most likely to be incarcerated in the U.S.

The study also suggests that there's a real fear of getting in trouble and being deported within immigrant communities. Far from engaging in criminal activities, immigrants mostly don't want to rock the boat

There's a problem trusting some of the statistics being tossed around.
When Shooter was a cop and arrested ILLEGAL MIGRANTS (mainly for shoplifting, drunk driving, and minor assault) we didn't even bother with the reports beyond noting the arrestee was in the country ILLEGALLY. Then we'd hold them for ICE to come get them and deport them. But no legal process, no reporting to speak of, no follow up. Just incarcerate and deport.

It is true that Shooter arrested more citizens (natural and naturalized) than ILLEGAL MIGRANTS but then there were a lot fewer ILLEGAL MIGRANTS than citizens too. So, can't put statistics out based on his own experience.

And we know in sanctuary cities like New York they are PROHIBITED from even asking people arrested for their status. So, when a New York cop arrests someone they can't ask, they can only surmise.

Gee shooter, that sounds like NY cops are absolutely crippled by not being able to even ask about whether someone may not be a US citizen. Pray tell - what legislation dictated this insanity? I can't seem to find it anywhere, just a bunch of people saying exactly what you've said.

      darkride, Oct 31, 2024
    3. phxbi_bear80
These were hard worked numbers, focusing around incarceration rates because that's when immigration status is recorded. So it's more reliable than not generally speaking. I understand seeing fucked up shit like you did being a cop, but how long ago was that? No danger of bias from the sheer weight of your experiences, and possibly a dark outlook on society and some of the people in it.
I'm not being an asshole saying these things, I'm saying that it would be understandable if not expected to have certain thoughts, feelings, and opinions that were tainted by your work day. I fight off those same things when being Devil's Advocate for my own opinions and insights, I fight it hard and it's not always easy. I don't remember where you were working as a cop, but I am intimate with everything you mentioned being in Phoenix since 1990.

Well, for the record shooter didn't have much of an opinion about the ILLEGAL MIGRANTS he arrested as a cop. For him the important part was problem solved without all the paperwork or bother of court.

He didn't develop a strong opinion about ILLEGAL MIGRANTS until he met several LEGAL MIGRANTS who explained how offended they were by ILLEGALS cutting the line and most recently by the incredibly insulting pandering to ILLEGAL MIGRANTS using my tax dollars.

And shooter was a cop about 50 years ago in Colorado. Is that an issue for you to make assumptions about @phxbi_bear80 ?

No it's not a so much of an argument of an issue as a perspective.

No matter who you are you're affected by the things that happen to you whether they were recently or a long time ago. I know it's a job I couldn't do so it's definitely not about dis, It's more about understanding that their effect on you is equal to your effect on them in some way shape or form is all.

I try not to make assumptions as best I can and would rather make an observation based on something. This is that rare instance when It's very safe to assume that certain biases good or bad could be held with someone being in that position

Wait. So you claim the death penalty doesn't stop people from committing crime?
    Seriously.
Well then tell us, how many women has Ted Bundy killed since January 24, 1989?
    None?
    Imagine that.

The death penalty does stop some people from committing crimes, notably the criminals we execute.

    Your stupid was showing again.

Now you also claim "American society is so skewed toward the rich, it is your very society that is causing people to turn to crime." Which, if you think about that claim, is nonsensical on it's face. Plus, you offer nothing to support such a claim. We don't expect you to explain yourself, or offer some kind of proof, we'll just take this statement as the spew of an ignorant, arrogant liberal.

    And finally we come to this arrogant assertion;
"IV (sic) This solution merely makes your problem someone else's problem. That's not a responsible way to conduct yourself."
Are you ignoring the fact that your man(woman) brandon has, for the last 4 years, allowed all manner of miscreants and gang members into the United states, and then offered them FREE housing, and FREE medical care, and FREE food and even (In New York) FREE laundry service, to say nothing of FREE education and FREE transportation around the country?

Or that he's even sent airplanes to countries like Venezuela and Haiti to collect the populations from their prisons and hospitals, to bring them to the US? And until very recently Venezuela for one refused to even positively identify the miscreants they were giving us, so we'd know what kinds of criminals we were getting? And still, they won't take them back once we take them out of the country.

    We're being irresponsible are we?

You and I actually agree that indeed we're being irresponsible, but for totally different reasons.

Did you forget that Australia is a country that was the dumping ground for most of Europe's criminals for quite awhile, and Aussies proudly point to their criminal ancestors as proof that they're a tough and resourceful lot?

    Wait. Aren't you an Aussie?
Do you have criminals in your ancestral tree?
Rhetorical question. No need to embarrass yourself further.

    Tell you what.
We'll send you the ILLEGAL MIGRANTS who have committed crimes in America. We'll keep our citizens who commit crimes and deal with them according to our laws. But you can have the ILLEGAL MIGRANT CRIMINALS.

    Deal?

      *sigh*

The death penalty does not DISCOURAGE people from deciding to commit crime.

A person will not think to themselves - Oh no, I must not kill that person because this state has the death penalty for murder.

Yes shooter dear, we all know that someone who has been killed cannot commit another murder.

There you go. Problem solved. I really didn't think you'd try parsing my words like that, shooter. That's just silly.
