Pilot Overtime Rules

* A reader was concerned that pilots would be working into the bleary hours after putting in a full shift [“Pilot Overtime Horror,” Letters, Aug. 20]. The Federal Aviation Administration does not permit that. What United Airlines is asking the pilots to do is add a couple of days to their 10-day-a-month work schedule.
