What Did Sunita Williams Eat Right After Returning To Earth From Her 9-Month Stay In Space?
Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore addressed their first press conference on Monday after returning from a 286-day stay at the International Space Station.

NASA astronaut Sunita Williams held her first press conference on Monday (local time) since returning to Earth after spending 286 days at the International Space Station (ISS) due to technical problems with Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft.
Addressing the conference, Williams thanked everyone for their involvement in the mission, including NASA and Elon Musk’s SpaceX, whose Dragon spacecraft brought her and her colleague back to the Earth. “Feeling good since we have been back, almost two weeks now. (I) actually went out and ran three miles yesterday, so I’ll give myself a pat on the back," she said.

What Did Sunita Williams Do After Returning?
When asked about the first thing she did after returning to Earth, Williams said she hugged her husband and her dogs. She said she had a grilled cheese sandwich after coming back home, which reminded her of her father, who was a vegetarian.
The astronaut duo said they were surprised and humbled knowing that their extended stay in space was given extensive coverage in media outlets across the world. “We weren’t aware of what was going on down there on Earth. The world does not revolve around us, but we revolve around the world. We are just focused on what we are doing and trying to be part of the team," Williams said.
“Of course, we heard some things from our friends and families, and people were interested in what was going on and concerned about our health and all that stuff while we were up there. We were just part of the team, doing the job, filling in wherever we could," she added.
Sunita Williams’ Message To Her Hometown
When asked about what message she would give to people in her hometown, Needham, who were anxious for her return, Williams said, “I am back. We were always coming back. We are back to actually share our story with so many people."
“It’s slightly unique and there are some lessons learnt to it, and part of it is resilience and being able to take a turn that was unexpected and make the best of it. I think that is the biggest thing I want to pass down, particularly to kids who think their lives should be the straight arrow. Something it takes some turns," she continued.
The duo splashed down off the coast in Florida on March 18 aboard the Crew Dragon spacecraft by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, nine months after being stranded in space. US President Donald Trump and Musk had long blamed the previous Biden administration for leaving the astronauts stranded for “political reasons".
